Rosemary Beach: An Elegant Seaside Retreat

Rosemary Beach is another classic beachside town modeled after New Urbanism. Founded in 1995, Rosemary differs from the Key West feel of Seaside by modeling homes after St. Augustine and the Carribean. By utilizing harder elements, such as aged bricks, limestone, and granite but still focusing on traditional models and native vegitation, Rosemary offers a distinctly different feel from anywhere else on the Gulf Coast.

Famous for its long, emaculetly groomed greens which terminate at the waters edge, and deep, shady eaves that shelter al fresco diners and shopkeepers wares, Rosemary truly brings a touch of elegance to the Gulf Coast

A little West Indies; a little Old World, here on the Gulf Coast

Differing from the pastels and whitewash of Seaside, Rosemary beach utilizes a varity of earthy tones which match well the deep greens of the native vegetation. Inspired by small waterfront towns in the American South and Caribean, Rosemary carrries a eclectic melange of influence from cities like Charleston, NC, St. Augustine, FL, New Orleans, LA and the European flavour of the West indies. Strict urban codes and regulations have ensured a sense of architechural harmony thoughout the town. Although only 9 miles away, Rosemary offers a completly different experiance and a plethora of opportunities for print and film production.
